Subject: Excel 2010 64-bit and Lotus Notes 8.5.3 on Windows 7 64-bit
Feedback Type: Problem
Product Area: Notes Client
Technical Area: Error Message
Platform: Windows
Release: 8.5.3
Reproducible: Always
Hi everyone,
I have a Windows 7 64-bit client running Lotus Notes 8.5.3 with Office 2010 64-bit installed.
In Excel, user typically sends an Excel spreadsheet via File - Save & Send - Send Using Email - Send As Attachment.
Following error appears: "Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfil the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Office Outlook and set it as the default mail client."
This worked on in XP 32-bit with LN 8.5.2 without issue on the same PC - just recently fresh-installed Win 7 on the same PC.
I followed the instructions on https://www-304.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21441879 for a similar issue, but this did not resolve the issue. Also following the mailto: test here does actually work, proving that LN is the default mail client.
Also set LN as default mail client within LN - File - Preferences, and in Default Programs in Win 7.
Still the error exists.
Anyone else have the same issue in a 64-bit environment?
Regards,
Stephen
